Wisdom: "Where are our thoughts coming from?"

There are two types of people in this world, the wise and the selfish.

James 3:13-17 says it like this:
"13Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. 16For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.17But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

Are your words producing fruit? Are you contributing to peoples lives in a positive way?
So many are quick to speak about their thoughts and their opinions, cutting down so many others over and over again.

These people my seem intelligent and "wise", but as it says in james 3:14, "..such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual,  and of the devil."

Wisdom from heaven is pure, peaceful, loving, submissive..
Earthly "wisdom" finds disorder, is envious, and is concerned with self ambition..

1. Take a moment and examine yourself.
2. What do you spend most of your time doing/thinking?
3. What are you most concerned with?
4. Are you helping others or are you confusing them?

Choose your words wisely. Speak softly.
